At StarBrite Dental , we pride ourselves on truly listening to our patients. We don’t want to just tell them what to do—we want to have a two-way conversation. When we do this, we often find out some pretty important things. We learn things that we wouldn’t otherwise know. In fact, this is one of the things that makes our office different.
After years of talking with patients, we found out that many patients have a common concern: They hate getting referred out to different offices when they need specialist dental treatment, such as oral surgery or dentures.
We found that patients got comfortable with their general dentist, and disliked being sent around to multiple offices, having to get familiar with an entirely new location and staff just for that one procedure. Over and over, this came up as a patient concern.
Yet, the practice of sending patients elsewhere for specialist treatments is the standard of care. It’s the way “everyone does it.” If a patient needs some dental specialty, they’re sent to a specialist. Logical, enough, right? A necessary evil, we thought.
However, this wasn’t good enough for us. We wanted a better way. And we found one.

It’s quite usual for a patient to need oral surgery or other dental specialty. This happens all the time in our office. So, it is definitely true that patients need treatment from a specialist. But, we thought to ourselves, why do we need send patients out to see the specialists? Why can’t we bring the specialist in to see the patients in our office? Why can’t we offer it all under one roof?
Thus was born our philosophy of comprehensive dentistry.
We decided that rather than just offering general dental services, we would offer specialist services as well. We would create a single location where patients could get almost any dental treatment they needed right in one place. That way, no matter what they needed, chances are that we could handle it. Our patients would no longer have to leave and go to another office for the vast majority of specialist treatments.
We began bringing top-notch specialists on board in our own office. We built a world-class team who could handle nearly any dental problem, no matter what it was. We became a comprehensive dental office.
The Comprehensive Dentistry Difference
Oral surgery, dental implants, dentures, gum disease, complex root canals... you name it. The need for specialists goes on and on. When treating patients, you never know what type of problem you’re going to run into—and you’d better be prepared for all of them.
A patient can have any number of dental problems and they don’t always fit within one type of specialty. If you really want to help them, you have to look at their big-picture needs. You can’t just look at one particular aspect without considering the whole picture. Sure, you can send them somewhere else for the rest of their treatment. However, in our opinion, this just puts more stress on the patient.
We believe that a more caring and responsible approach is to look after all of the patient’s dental needs—the big picture. This is the difference in comprehensive dentistry. No matter what type of problems our patients have, we believe it’s our job to help them come up with the solution. We don’t just refer them out and hope for the best. We take full responsibility from start to finish.

StarBrite Dental is proud to be a member of the Rockville community for 25 years. Many of our patients have been coming to us for decades. We’ve treated their children and, now, even their grandchildren! Our lead dentist, Dr. Maryam Seifi, has lived here since she was 17 years old and has a deep connection with the area.
Our goal is to provide our patients with an entirely different sort of dental experience. Rather than seeing a patient with a toothache, referring them out to a specialist and then having them come back to the office to complete their treatment, we do the whole thing in house. No matter what you need, we have a specialist who can handle it in the next room. This gives our patients access to highly trained experts working together as a team on every single case.
We’re open evening and weekends to accommodate any schedule. We handle dental emergencies, no matter when they occur. We bring every specialist in house under one roof.
