Transforming a Patient’s Smile - and Life - with Veneers

PROBLEM

Robert’s children noticed that he never smiled in family photographs. They encouraged him to check out ways to correct the gaps between his teeth and improve his overall smile. The main problem with Robert’s smile was that his teeth were simply too small and so there were sizable gaps between them. They were also discolored. Other than that, his teeth and gums were in good health.

During their consultation, Dr. Seifi determined that orthodontic treatment would not be the best choice for Robert because even if his teeth were moved closer together, they were so small that he would still have gaps in his smile.

Robert learned that his best solution was veneers placed on all the front teeth in the upper and the lower jaws. Veneers offer solutions for a variety of problems. As in Robert’s case, veneers can be manufactured to fit over a small tooth and fill up the gaps that exist on either side. Veneers are also often used to lengthen teeth that are too short.

Of course, veneers do an excellent job of covering teeth that are discolored like Robert’s were. This is often the right choice when staining is deep or is caused by a medical drug like tetracycline. These types of discoloration are unlikely to respond to teeth whitening.

Sixteen veneers were manufactured to improve Robert’s smile and were precisely placed on the upper and lower front teeth by Dr. Seifi.

RESULTS

The result was a bright, white, evenly spaced smile that Robert loves to show off. Now, he takes advantage of every opportunity to smile widely!
